Worship to Focus on The Greatest Commandment at John Street United Methodist Church October 23

Jesus said to his followers, " 'Love the Lord you God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'  This is the greatest and the most important commandment."  On October 23, 10:30 am the worship service at the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden, will be based on readings from Psalm 90:1-6; 13-17, and Matthew 22:34-46.  The congregation will sing an old standard hymn, "Our God, Our Help in Ages Past," based on Psalm 90.

Pastor Peg Moser will talk with the children about "The Greatest Commandment" and preach her sermon on the "Love of God and Love of Neighbor."  The hymn of response to the sermon follows the morning theme,  "Love the Lord Your God."  Under the direction of Jim May, the choir's anthem will be, "Love Devine, All Loves Excelling."

All are welcome to worship at the John Street United Methodist Church at 10:30 am Sundays, followed by a fellowship time.  Child Care is available.
