Voices: Nancy Thompson
My husband, Bill, and I retired to the Midcoast in 1998. We moved here from New Jersey. For years I was the export manager for Esselte Pendaflex Corporation. After leaving the work force in 1984, I focused on volunteer work serving on the boards of the local, county and State offices of the League of Women voters of New Jersey. I went back to school in 1994 and graduated magna cum laude from Montclair State University.
I am the mother of a blended family of six children and 13 grandchildren. Many people recognize me from the Food Network program, which covered the cooking contest at the 2001 Lobster Festival where I won first prize for my lobster scampi. I am the past president of the Camden-Rockport Area Newcomers and Neighbors Club, the Womens' Fellowship of the First Congregational Church of Camden and am currently the president of the Rockport Garden Club.
