50 CDFI Professionals Selected for CITI Leadership Program - CEO of MaineStream Finance Chosen
Bangor, ME - Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) and the Citi Foundation announced the selection of 50 Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) professionals to take part in the Citi Leadership Program for Opportunity Finance. Jayne Crosby Giles, resident of Belfast, Maine, and Chief Executive Officer of MaineStream Finance, is one of the professionals selected for this program. MaineStream Finance, a CDFI and subsidiary of Penquis, provides personal finance, home loans and business services to people in Maine who might otherwise have limited access to financing and credit.
Giles was chosen from more than 120 applicants nationwide. "I am extremely pleased to be accepted into this CDFI leadership program. As CEO for MaineStream Finance, I look forward to meeting CDFI leaders from around the country. MaineStream focuses on providing loans and financial education programs to families and business owners in underserved areas in central and coastal Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for our organization to learn how to best meet the financial needs of our clients."
The Leadership Program for Opportunity Finance includes three separate career level cohorts, with 11 Executive Leaders, 19 Mid-career Leaders, and 20 Emerging Leaders; Giles was selected to participate in the Executive Level.

Participants come from 21 states and the District of Columbia. They represent a variety of CDFI types and specialties, including commercial real estate lending, microfinance, consumer finance, and affordable-housing finance.
