A Holiday Art Gala and Taste of Belfast's Wharf District
The Office Gallery, located at 17 Main Street, Belfast, invites the public to A Holiday Art Gala and Taste of Belfast's Wharf District Restaurants on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 5:30-8 pm, as part of the First Friday Art Walk. Belfast artists, Ben Hall, Karen Meisenheimer, and Betsy Headley will exhibit their artwork, and three establishments in the neighborhood will provide splendid samples of their restaurant’s fare. Restaurants participating include Pig Out Barbeque, Weathervane Seafood Restaurant, and Laan-Xang Cafe.
The artists exhibiting:
- Ben Hall’s body of work ranges from pure abstraction to impressionistic realism, and is expressed in several styles and media. Ben is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where he graduated from the Antonelli Institute of Commercial Art, and currently resides in Searsport, freelancing out of his studio (960 Studio) in the downtown arts district in Belfast. www.960studio.weebly.com 322-8691
- Karen Meisenheimer’s sculptures reflect her passion for and interest in the environment. She utilizes objects found in nature, as well as composing in clay, wood, metal, fibers and human-made recycled materials to produce unique works. - Betsy Headley creates images in photography, mixed media and acrylics. She focuses on composition, texture, edge, and color, and thrives on experimentation.
