Square the Circle reception First Friday

A new gallery in Belfast

Nov 28, 2012
“Seven of Fire” is among the almost 80 paintings by Katenia Keller featured in her new downtown Belfast gallery.

Belfast — Katenia Keller of Freedom is opening her own gallery, Square the Circle, on the second floor at 137 High St.  The public is invited to a reception Dec. 7 during the city’s 5 to 8 p.m. First Friday Art Walk.

Artist and author of “Pythias Sacred Geometry Tarot,” Keller works with the tarot system for psychological, philosophical and spiritual expansion. The painting of the 78 original paintings, and publication of “Pythias Sacred Geometry Tarot,” was a five-year project. She has shown her paintings and spoken about the images at several galleries in Midcoast and central Maine; the C.G. Jung Center in Brunswick; and for PechaKucha at Colby College.

Square the Circle will exhibit 78 paintings, as well as host lectures, classes on the tarot system and sacred geometry, workshops and readings. Gallery hours are Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or by appointment. For more information, send email to kateniakeller@fairpoint.net.
