The Coastal Children's Museum has a weekend of fun events gearing up for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  On Saturday November 17th the Tomlinsons of Wild Haven will be bringing their flock to the museum to entertain and educate. Starting at 11:00 am, the show will be held above the children's museum in the Sail Power Steam museum and is included in the price of admission.  There will be a special bird brained craft downstairs after the show.
The weekend continues on Sunday at 1:00 pm  when visitors will be making our gingerbread house entry for the Rockland Main Street Festival of Lights 'Gingerbread Houses on Main Street' competition. Local artist and former teacher Marianne Swittlinger will be the architect in chief to help make an entirely edible structure.  A sweeter Sunday is hard to imagine! This workshop will be held in the Arty Party room and is included in the price of admission.
The Coastal Children's Museum will be closed on Thursday November 22 in honor of the holiday.  Located at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland, CCM is a 501 c(3) dedicated to providing an opportunity to learn through play for children aged 2 through 9.   For more information on upcoming events and memberships available please visit coastalchildrensmuseum.org or call the office at 596-0300 Wed-Sat 10:00-4:00 pm and Sun 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
