Amber L. (Philbrook) Fuller, 87
Sterling, Mass. — Amber L. (Philbrook) Fuller, 87, of Lancaster, Mass., died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Sterling Village Nursing Home in Sterling, Mass., after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Manley G. Fuller, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Belfast, she was one of 16 children of Charles and Verna (Rich) Philbrook. For her high school years, she moved to Massachusetts to attend South Lancaster Academy. Later, Amber met Manley, and they were married in 1952. Over the next 15 years, they divided their time living between Maine and Massachusetts. They were active members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in both Brunswick and Lancaster, Mass. After they settled in Lancaster, Amber's work interests over the years included being a cook, real estate agent and store owner. She was devoted to her children, and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
She was the mother of the the late Debra A. (Fuller) O'Connor of Natick, Mass., who passed away in 1992.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Douglas Fuller, and his wife, Kate, of Natick, Mass.; a sister, Nettie (Philbrook) Waterman of Yarmouth; and five grandchildren, Sarah and Kate O'Connor, Adam, Jared and Colin Fuller.
At Amber's request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Sterling Village Activity Fund, 18 Dana Hill Rd., Sterling, MA 01564.
