Artists discuss art, science and comics

Belfast — To mark the current exhibit at Waterfall Arts, “Created in the Lab, Interpreting Science through Comics,” participating artists will discuss their work and inspirations Wednesday, Oct. 19, beginning 7 p.m. at the community arts center, 256 High St.

Artist Tyson Pease will moderate the discussion and attending artists may include Shawn Brewer, Deanne Dutton, Kenny Cole, Wade Warman, Dante Shepard, Michael Connor and Chelsea Canny. Anyone who contributed to the “Periodic Table of Elements” collaboration and all those interested in science and art are invited to join in and share their insights.

Admission to the talk is free; donations are much appreciated. The “Comics” exhibit is sponsored by Robbins Lumber, and the organization is supported by yearlong sponsors Cold Mountain Builders, All Creatures Acupuncture, Revision Energy, the Green Store and the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
