ArtLab workshop at CMCA

Dec 26, 2012
The January ArtLab for All Ages Workshop will offer an opportunity to try one’s hand at mosaics.

Rockport — Everyone is invited to join ArtLab instructor Marcie Jan Bronstein for the first free ArtLab for All Ages Workshop of the New Year Saturday, Jan. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 162 Russell Ave. Participants will create a small mosaic-inspired work using colorful paint chips. All supplies will be provided, and the workshop is open to everyone.

Bronstein of Belfast is an artist, designer and teacher with a special interest in collaborating with children. She is known for her hand-colored images and work with the photographic negative; her art is exhibited, published, commissioned and collected internationally.

ArtLab is made possible in part by support from Camden National Bank, the Milton and Sally Avery Art Foundation, the Davis Family Foundation and individual donors. CMCA’s major media sponsor is Maine Home + Design magazine. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is a nonprofit organization advancing contemporary art in Maine through exhibitions and educational programs. Exhibition galleries are open seasonally, May to December. For more information, visit cmcanow.org.
