Wiscasset, ME, February 5, 2013—Bruce J. Howes, owner of Atlantic Motorcar Center in Wiscasset, was delighted to discover a very positive write-up in the “Shop Views” feature in the February issue of Ratchet + Wrench Magazine. The publication is renowned for providing strategies and inspiration for auto care success.

According to AMC’s Bruce Howes, “I’m in and out of our shop dozens of time each day, but seeing the large photograph in the article, depicting our spacious, immaculate service bay area still put a big smile on my face. We opted for brighter colors and use a floor washing machine after every job. We’re delighted to bring our customers into our “Show And Tell” work environment. I know we all enjoy the look on customers’ faces when they see where their cars are being serviced.”

The article, (which can be viewed online at  http://www.ratchetandwrench.com/RatchetWrench/February-2013/Atlantic-Motorcar-Center/) offers a 7-part overview of the Coastal Maine facility’s work area. It points out the Swedish, German, British and Italian flag motif, placed there as a reminder of the shop’s focus, as well as providing a pleasing aesthetic.

The feature also talks about the dramatic blue-striped flooring as well as the set of four 15-foot, glass and aluminum doors that not only allow access to both ends of the facility but provide a maximum of natural lighting, creating a more functional and comfortable work environment. In the article’s photograph, you can see the four lift bays, five flat work spaces and side bay. Also in clear sight are the tools and equipment that make Atlantic Motorcar an affordable dealer alternative to drivers of fine imported vehicles.

“We call it the ‘Oh My Goodness!” look when customers see it for the first time. We’re very proud of that.”
