A cast of 26 performs hits by Elvis Presley in Belfast Area High School’s “All Shook Up,” a new ‘50s-styled musical.

Belfast — Elvis will not leave the building for two weekends as Belfast Area High School presents “All Shook Up” Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m.; Sundays, Nov. 11 and 18 at 3 p.m. in the gymnasium of the school, 98 Waldo Ave.

The show’s book by Ton Award winner Joe DiPietro was inspired by and features songs of Elvis Presley. “All Shook Up" tells the story of a guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in a square little town. The musical fantasy includes such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “It’s Now or Never,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Hound Dog,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “Fools Rush In.”

With a plot loosely based on William Shakespeare's “Twelfth Night," “All Shook Up” promises hilarious, fresh fun for all ages. The show is directed by Sonja Richardson with musical direction by John Cameron and features a cast of 26 students.

Tickets — $8 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens — will be sold at the door.
