The cast of Belfast Area High School’s “All Shook Up” are well into rehearsals.

Belfast — Local students are preparing to shake things up with the hilarious rockin' 1950s musical “All Shook Up,” featuring 25 of Elvis Presley's greatest hits, next month at Belfast Area High School. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m.; and Sundays at 3 p.m., Nov. 9 through 18 in the gymnasium of BAHS, 98 Waldo Ave.

An uproarious new musical comedy featuring Presley’s unforgettable hits, “All Shook Up” is loosely based on William Shakespeare's “Twelfth Night" and tells the story of guitar-playing roustabout Chad, who rides into a struggling square Midwest town and changes it forever with the power of love and rock ‘n’ roll. This whacky ‘50s-styled musical is written by Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro and features "Heartbreak Hotel", "Burning Love", "Jailhouse Rock", "Blue Suede Shoes", "It's Now or Never", "Don't Be Cruel" and "Fools Rush In."

BAHS’ “All Shook Up” is being directed by Sonja Richardson with musical direction by John Cameron. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8, $5 students and senior citizens.
