Bangor woman arrested after crashing car on Monroe property

Monroe — Police charged a Bangor woman with operating under the influence after her vehicle damaged property at a Monroe residence.

Jennifer L. Longworth, 32, was charged with operating under the influence and violating conditions of release following a single-vehicle crash on Stream Road in Monroe shortly after 8 p.m. July 25. According to the accident report, Longworth was driving on Fisher Road in a 2003 Audi and approaching the intersection of Stream Road while paying attention to the GPS on her cell phone.

The accident report stated Longworth was traveling too fast to stop at a stop sign and drove through the intersection before crashing into a well house on a property located at 383 Stream Road. The collision destroyed the well house and bent the well casing, according to the accident report.

Longworth suffered bruises and abrasions on her arms as a result of the crash.

She was arrested by police and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 2.
