Because Finding the Right Lawyer Matters

By Lawyer Referral Service | Nov 06, 2012

Representatives of the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) of the Maine State Bar Association recently taped an informational segment on the Attorney General's public service TV show Consumer Matters, which will be aired in the near future on Time Warner Ch. 9. Hosted by Assistant Attorney General Jim McKenna, the program regularly interviews people from organizations that offer a valuable service to the public -- in this case, helping people with legal needs find an appropriate attorney. Director Penny Hilton and attorney member James Pross had just enough time to get across the basics about how the ABA-approved LRS works, how it is different from free assistance programs, and better than blind internet searches. A second segment is likely.
