Belfast — The Belfast Co-op shut down a portion of High Street to make way for the festivities during its ninth annual Community Appreciation Day, an event that was formerly known as Customer Appreciation Day.

The daylong party featured live music from a variety of local acts including The Gawler Family, Odlaw, The Juke Rockets Blues Band and Belfast Bay Fiddlers, and local vendors offered free samples.

Those in attendance were also treated to a cook-out, complete with burgers, dogs and vegetarian options.
