Belfast Community Tennis team is looking for players.
Do you love tennis? So do we and we are playing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday where we demonstrate our love for the game from 9-11 a.m. at Belfast City Park.
We are looking for enthusiastic players who are at the 3.0 to 3.5 level. Level 3.0 players should be consistent when hitting medium paced shots while 3.5 players have achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots. We are looking for players of either level who will commit to play on a regular basis or just be an occasional substitute player.
The community team play is competitive but friendly. If you enjoy playing tennis as much as we do, with a friendly group of players, then join us out in the fresh air and play tennis in the beautiful Belfast City Park.
In 1998 Rudy Nashan founded the team to make tennis a part of Belfast's Community. He named the team Scrappy Losers & Gracious Winners and organized it for several years, followed by Alain Mortier and now by Marianna Moll.
"Tennis is so much fun," says Moll, "and we are so lucky to have two beautiful courts with ocean view. And we are not so scrappy either."
If you are currently a tennis player or have played in the past and want to pick up your racquet, whether you want to commit on a regular basis or just be an occasional substitute-player, please call 338-3930 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
