Belfast man struck by car, treated for forearm pain
Belfast — A Belfast man evaded injury after a vehicle struck him while he was standing in the intersection of Congress Street and Main Street Friday, Jan. 18.
Belfast Patrolman Mike Rolerson said John Grass, 52, of Belfast was struck by the side view mirror of a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by John Scully, 66, of Belfast at 1:20 p.m. Rolerson said Scully was attempting to turn onto Main Street from Congress Street at the time of the accident.
Grass was treated and released from Waldo County General Hospital after complaining of pain in his forearm, Rolerson said.
No charges are going to be filed, as a result of the accident, Rolerson said.
