Belfast police blotter
Belfast — Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity
Peter Marden, 63, of Belfast, had parked his 2012 Chevy pickup in a spot on High Street and left the vehicle unoccupied. A few minutes later, 51-year-old Harry Ward of Belfast attempted to back his 2002 Buick into the parking space behind Marden's vehicle and ended up colliding with the pickup truck. No one was hurt in the accident.
Lloyd M. Stover Jr., 46, of Searsport had parked his 1986 Ford pickup in a designated spot at the Cobb Building at Waldo County General Hospital and left the vehicle unoccupied. Meanwhile Curtis Bovee, 69, of Lincolnville entered the lot in a 2007 Dodge van and began to back into the space neighboring the one where Stover parked his truck. Bovee later told police his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing him to sideswipe Stover's vehicle. Bovee then continued forward, heading down a small embankment and striking a tree. No one was hurt.
Benjamin Knowlton, 19, of Swanville, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.
Crystal Ellis, 34, of Belfast was arrested on warrants for failure to pay fines.
Peter Mason, 64, of Searsport, operating under the influence.
Gail L. Groening, 52, of Belfast, operating under the influence.
Karen B. Roberts, 55, of Belfast, driving to endanger.
