Though this season's vegetable crops are still a ways off, the Belfast Farmers Market's winter vendors were at the first outdoor farmers market of the year, April 4, selling root vegetables, meat, dairy products, eggs, baked goods, soups, maple syrup and other products. The market had been held at Aubuchon Hardware on Route 1 through the winter, but can now be found Fridays through October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its outdoor location at Waterfall Arts, 235 High St. On Belfast First Fridays, the market is held on Upper Main Street downtown.
