Bicentennial festivities in Belmont

The one-room Greer's Corner Schoolhouse, built in 1908 and closed in 1954, will host an open house with a "teacher" teaching "students" as in days of old. Barbara Hills and Isabel Morse Maresh will sign copies of their book, "Searsmont Schools, 1814-2014," which sells for $22.50. Bicentennial events continue all afternoon, with food and a craft fair. Fireworks at 8:30 p.m.
