Blind Owl Band at Unity College
Unity — The Blind Owl Band will perform Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Unity College Center for the Performing Arts, 42 Depot St. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and free for Unity College students, faculty and staff.
At first glance, the Blind Owl Band might be mistaken for bluegrass — the instruments are there (so is the facial hair) — but once they start playing, a sound that is so much more erupts. Comprised of Arthur Buezo (guitar, vocals), Christian Cardiello (bass), Eric Munley (mandolin, vocals) and James Ford (banjo, vocals), Blind Owl Band officially formed in 2011 in Saranac Lake, N.Y., the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. The band views their traditional arrangement as just the start of the musical concept. What they come up with is explosive, driving and extremely danceable.
