Body found in river identified as missing Bangor man
Stockton Springs — Police say the body of a male found floating in the Penobscot River in Stockton Springs Sunday, April 13, has been identified as a Bangor man who was reported missing in Bangor late last year.
According to a press release from Waldo County Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton issued Monday afternoon, April 14, staff at the Medical Examiner's Office determined the body was that of 46-year-old Cecil Worster of Bangor.
"Mr. Worster was reported missing to the Bangor Police Department on Nov. 22, 2013," stated the release.
Trafton said Bangor Detective Myron Warner is the primary investigator assigned to the case.
There are no indications at this point that Worster’s death is suspicious.
