Bonsai in a Nutshell in Belfast
Belfast — Belfast Garden Club’s public monthly meeting and speaker series continues Tuesday, Feb. 18, featuring a presentation — Bonsai in a Nutshell with Aaron Bowden, bonsai educator.
The program is free and the public is encouraged to attend. The brief club meeting begins at 1p.m. The public is invited for refreshments from the hospitality committee at 1:45 p.m., the speaker will begin at 2 p.m. The afternoon meeting and program take place at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Parish House, 95 Court St., Belfast.
Bowden is an artist, potter and bonsai educator. He began studying the art of bonsai in 1988, and since then, he has studied and taught bonsai art in Maine, Florida and the Midwest. His bonsai and pottery can be seen at his Koboku Bonsai Studio in Bucksport. He offers workshops, lectures and demonstration in the art of bonsai.
