Bill Packard of Union was the guest speaker at the Kiwanis meeting on

January 14.  An author, speaker and small business consultant, Packard

discussed why it is important for small businesses to think like a

customer.  He is also a prospective new member of the Kiwanis Club.

Kiwanis president-elect Katie Tarbox of Spruce Head is shown giving

Packard the traditional coffee mug as a token of appreciation for

addressing the group.  Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers

dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

The local service group meets every Monday at the Samoset Resort.
