BRIDGE Afterschool Art Club continues
Belfast — The second session of BRIDGE, a free afterschool art club for Belfast sixth graders, will begin Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 2:45 to 5 p.m. at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St.
The seven-week program is led by experienced instructor Bridget Matros. The program’s goals are to instill a lasting identification as the area’s next generation of local artists; to connect young artists to the rich arts community resources; and to form a supportive network among the young creatives themselves.
Those attending will take the bus from Troy Howard Middle School to Waterfall Arts. For more information and to register, email email@example.com or call 338-2222. Office
hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Searsport sixth graders also are invited to participate in their own BRIDGE art club, which will be held during Searsport’s After School
program Wednesday afternoons beginning Jan. 22. The free program is similar to the Belfast sessions in purpose and activities. For more information and to register, contact Mariko Brown at the Searsport Middle School by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the school office.
BRIDGE is made possible by a generous grant from St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Belfast.
