Marsh River Theater
The theater will present "Love, Loss and What I Wore," in its second week on October 21 and 22 at 7:30. The show stars Sue Hall, Amy Simoneau, Elena Donovan, Cassandra Palmer and Sarah Joy. The opening night for the show was a fundraiser for The Lafayette Cancer Center in Brewer, but the theater will also be collecting at all shows to raise money to start an endowment that will be put in Tanya Hubbard and Kathleen Schiessl's names. Also if you are a Sutter Home wine drinker and have corks from those bottles, we will be collecting them at the theater for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
the Varney Ladies Fellowship will be having Christmas craft fair and raffle on November 5th from 8 am to 1 pm. Raffle tickets for the annual Fellowship quilt are now on sale at the the thrift store along with many other wonderful raffle items.. Rental tables are available for any craftsmen wishing to sell their goods ($10 each or 3 for $25). Breakfast muffins and coffee will be available as well as a light lunch of soups and sandwiches. Harvest Home Grange #52 is planning another Basket Bingo for October 23rd. Luncheon will be available at 11 am with Bingo starting at 1 pm.
The next Ralph's Cafe Afternoon Tea Fundraiser will be on November 20 at the Brooks Grange at 3pm. Tickets are limited to 30 adults and cost $15 for an adult and $5 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased at Ralph's Cafe or you can call to reserve your seats by calling 722-3236.
Marsh River Co-Op
The co-op is looking for volunteers. The co-op is a local non profit that supports local farmers and producers of food and crafts. The store opened in 2014 and is in desperate need of help to keep its doors open. They are in need of people to work short shifts at the store and are looking for new board members. The annual meeting will be on November 13 at 4pm at the co-op. if you are interested in volunteering call 722-3053.
