Learn with your child all about the leading edge wind power technology being developed at University of Maine in Orono. On Wednesday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to noon, an educator from the University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center will lead Build a Wind Platform, a hands-on program for children in which you will learn to design, build, implement and test wind power technology components similar to those being used in an extensive University of Maine research program in deep water offshore wind power. This Penobscot Marine Museum children’s program is free with museum admission.
