Business workshops for artists
The Arts Business Institute and Maine Craft Association, in partnership with Maine College of Art and Waterville Creates, will present business workshops for artists Saturday, Oct. 22, at Maine College of Art, 522 Congress St., Portland; and Sunday, Oct. 23, at Waterville Creates, 93 Main St., Waterville.
In Portland, the day offers Wholesale 101 with Wendy Rosen; Introduction to Art Licensing with Carolyn Edlund; Booth Design with Wendy Rosen; Retail 101 with Nire Cook; an artist discussion panel with Maggie Bokor and Lissa Hunter; and, optional and for additional fee, individual artist consultations.
In Waterville, the lineup includes Making Work that Sells with Wendy Rosen; Selling Art Online with Carolyn Edlund; Pricing for Profit with Wendy Rosen and Carolyn Edlund; Building Gallery Relationships with Carolyn Edlund; an artist discussion panel with Donna D'Aquino, Helene Farrar and Nick Rossi; and, optional and for additional fee, individual artist consultations.
Cost is $150 for either day or $250 for both days. Full scholarships are available for MECA students and alumni by contacting Jessica Tomlinson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
