Brewer — Several members of the MidCoast Cal Ripken Baseball League, formerly Belfast Cal Ripken, continue to play at The Sluggers Indoor Baseball/Softball Training Facility.

The U10 team went 2-0 over a recent weekend, which brought its record to 6-2-2 in the six-team bracket. The U12 team remains undefeated at 5-0. The tournament season will end April 5 when a champion and runner-up will be determined for each age bracket.

The MidCoast Cal Ripken recently held sign-ups at the Waldo County YMCA. It is not too late to sign-up, simply email: allisongoscinski@yahoo.com; amanda.j.armstrong@maine.edu; scottcournoyer@bankofamerica.com; or gken@fairpoint.net.

Tryouts are Sundays, March 30 and April 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Belfast Area High School. Any child who wants to try out for a “Major League” team is welcome. Children also have another opportunity to sign up at that time, said Kellie Jacobs.
