Cannon makes music at the market
Belfast — Scot Cannon will perform during the Belfast Farmer's Market, which takes place Friday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St.; Cannon will start playing around 9:30 a.m.
Cannon sings and plays his own acoustic versions of jazz and pop standards from the 1920s, ‘30s and ‘40s. He also performs from his collection of mildly sarcastic and sometimes moving original songs for adults and children. Cannon is a Berklee College of Music graduate in arranging, music education and guitar.
For the past 25 years, Cannon has toured the East Coast with his mime, music and theater programs for children and adults. The last few years, her also has been doing songwriting residencies in local schools. He hosts the “WERU Family Radio Hour” the first Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. on WERU-FM 89.9 and 99.9; and online at weru.org.
