On Aug. 29 Carol Gardiner of Knox passed away at home with her loving husband by her side.
Carol was born Dec. 15, 1960, daughter of Henry and the late Marie Jacobs.
She graduated high school and went on to attend The University of Maine Augusta where she earned her Bachelors Degree as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
Carol worked at Sandy River Bend along side her best friend Teresa as a counselor for youth in need of help.
She loved animals, her bird Gordon, cat Little Foot, but especially her two dogs Cheyenne and Lilly. She also loved reading, watching movies with her husband John and going to her favorite concerts at the Bangor Waterfront.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years John Jay Gardiner of Knox, her father Henry Jacobs and wife Jessie of Hope, sister Rosie and husband Ron of Unity, sister Tina and husband Larry of Hope and brother Hank and wife Tammy of Westbrook along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and great friends whom she adored greatly.
There was a graveside service at the Center Cemetery in East Thorndike with a celebration of her life at the American Legion Hall in Unity, Maine.
