By Knox County Community Health Coalition | Dec 07, 2011

In response to the abundant requests for a community venue addressing the issues regarding the synthetic drugs known as “Bath Salts,” the Rockland Police Department, the Knox County Community Health Coalition (the local Healthy Maine Partnership serving Knox County), and the Rockland District Nursing Association (RDNA) will be sponsoring an informational session on December 21, 6 :00 – 7:30 PM at the Oceanside High School – East (400 Broadway, Rockland).  In the event of inclement weather, the session will be held on December 28 at the same time and location.

Sgt. Don Finnegan of the Rockland Police Department and a Maine Drug Recognition Expert, will provide information about what Bath Salts are, how they effect the person using them, and how law enforcement and the community are working together.  There will also be time for a question and answer session.

All members of the community are encouraged to come to this session. This epidemic will only be solved through the collective efforts of law enforcement, medical professionals and the community as a whole.
