Show up or tune in for another local candidates night for voters.

Monday October 15 at 7:00 PM, four candidates for two local legislative seats will meet for a candidates night organized by Courier Publications.  The event will take place in the council chambers at Rockland City Hall, 270 Pleasant Street, and will be broadcast live on Rockland’s government access cable channel, Channel 22.

Candidates for Maine Senate District 22, which represents all of Knox County except Friendship, Washington and Isle au Haut, will participate.  They are Democratic challenger State Representative Ed Mazurek, completing four terms in the House of Representatives, and Republican incumbent Senator Chris Rector, seeking his third term in the senate.

Also participating will be the two candidates for the open seat for House District 47, which represents Rockland and part of Owls Head.  They are the Democrat, Rockland City Councilor Elizabeth Dickerson, and the Republican, Gordon Mank, Jr.

The candidates will answer debate questions from the audience with Courier Publications News Editor Dan Dunkle serving as moderator.  There is no charge to attend.
