Swanville — Kermit Nickerson Elementary School second graders Anthony Frost and Brianna Bunker react as one of their classmates' inventions falls from the raised bucket of a Central Maine Power truck during the annual egg drop Tuesday afternoon, April 30. In preparation for the annual event at the Swanville school, students work with their parents to design contraptions that they hope will prevent the egg from breaking when it is dropped to the ground. The school wide tally showed 13 of the students' eggs broke, six cracked and 40 remained in tact.
