Crash brings seventh operating after suspension charge for driver
Belfast — A property damage accident that occurred in the McDonald's parking lot Thursday morning, Dec. 27, resulted in minor damage for the two vehicles involved and a seventh operating after suspension charge for a Northport woman.
According to records at the Belfast Police Department, Tonya Milliken, 40, of Northport was charged with operating after suspension with six prior convictions following the fender-bender.
According to the accident report, Milliken was backing improperly from a parking space in a 2007 Jeep. As Milliken was backing up, 64-year-old James Maheux of Belfast was entering the driveway and following the roadway through the parking lot. Milliken struck Maheux's vehicle in the rear passenger side quarter panel as he passed by.
Neither of the drivers was hurt in the collision.
