Creative Options celebrates first anniversary
Belfast — Creative Options, which supports adults with intellectual disabilities, will hold an open house on Friday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first anniversary celebration will take place in its office at 228 Northport Ave. All are welcome.
"The open house celebration is an opportunity to meet the people we support and the people that work at the agency," said CEO Lynn Reed-Augustine in a press release. The event is also an opportunity for the public to learn about services offered, for direct support professionals to inquire about potential job openings, and for interested shared living and respite providers to ask about Creative Options' Shared Living Program.
Reed-Augustine has been providing services and support to adults with intellectual disabilities for 20 years and for the past year in the Belfast/Midcoast area. Services include shared living or adult foster care, home support or two-person supported living, community-based day care, and respite.
Creative Options also has offices in Hampden, Lincoln, Millinocket and Dover-Foxcroft. Creative Options is based on the premise that people have choices and options in terms of who will provide their support and what those supports might look like.
Anyone interested in learning more is invited to stop by, pick up informational material or an application, and join the group for pizza.
