Crockpot cooking class May 14 at WCGH

Interested in using your crockpot for healthy cooking even with warm weather on the horizon? On May 14 from noon to 1 p.m., there will be a workshop at the Education Center at Waldo County General Hospital to help you do that.

“Springing Ahead with Your Crockpot: Slow Cooker Recipes for Warmer Weather” will focus on diverse recipes and food safety and there will be free samples to try. The workshop will accept a maximum of 25 participants and pre-registration is required by calling 338-9358.

There will also be free raffles for a crockpot and cookbooks.

The event is sponsored by the hospital’s Diabetes Education program, Let’s Go! Waldo 5-2-1-0 and Waldo Fresh, a farm to institution Community Transformation Grant.
