Crocodile rock at the Fort
Prospect — Yellow Brick Road, an Elton John Tribute Band, will play Fort Knox Saturday, July 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The band performs many of Sir Elton's greatest hits in a great evening of entertainment for all ages. Dancing is encouraged, as is Elton-esque costuming.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 13. Concertgoers should bring their own lawn seating, and picnic suppers are encouraged. Tickets may be purchased at the Fort Visitor Center gift shop the day of event or in advance by calling 469-6553.
More music at the fort is on tap for Saturday, July 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. when the annual Scottish Tattoo is scheduled, weather permitting. This popular annual event features traditional Scottish bagpipers, precision marching bands and a patriotic salute to America. Tickets are $10, $5 younger than 13.
The Fort Knox State Historic site is off Route 174.
