Cronin watercolors at Zoot Coffee

Nov 10, 2012
“Cobscook Bay,” a watercolor by Anne Cronin of Belfast, is among her art works on view this month at Zoot Coffee in Camden.

Camden — Anne Cronin is showing her watercolor originals, prints and cards through the end of the month at Zoot Coffee, Elm Street/Route 1. Cronin is known for her watercolor paintings and ink drawings that depict the natural beauty of landscapes, plant life and coastal scenes.

A graduate of the art and design program of Cambridge School of Design in Massachusetts, Cronin had an early career including working in Boston for the Harold Cabot Advertising Agency and as an art director in a small fashion business. Together with her husband, also a graphic designer, she moved back to her home state of Maine and over the years her focus shifted from graphic art to painting. Winters spent in southern California have inspired her to paint the desert landscape as well.

Zoot Coffee, located at 31 Elm St., is dedicated to promoting friendship, community and connections and provides space for artists to share their work. Cronin will be at Zoot Sunday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. to meet visitors. For more information about the artist, visit annecroninart.com.
