A free evening workshop will provide information on Maine’s “current use” property tax programs that are geared toward agricultural and timber management activities. Presenters from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (ACF) will review the benefits that the Tree Growth and Farmland Property Tax programs offered landowners and towns. Maine Forest Service District Forester Morten Moesswilde and ACF Farmland Protection Specialist Stephanie Gilbert will assist participants with determining their property’s eligibility and completing a draft application.

No registration is required for this free program. The event is co-hosted by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry, and the Waldo County Soil and Water Conservation District.
