Belfast — More than 70 people dance in the street Thursday, Feb. 14, as part of the One Billion Rising to end violence against women and children event. Karin Spitfire leads the dancing, while a drummer accompanies the dancers. The dancing continued inside the Belfast Free Library, while the same dances were being performed at One Billion Rising events all over the world.

The library activity included chants, poetry recitations and a few personal essays. One Billion Rising is a worldwide event to demand an end to violence against women and children around the world.
