Waldo — A Dixmont woman suffered serious injuries after her vehicle flipped onto its roof while traveling on Waldo Station Road in Waldo Thursday, Jan. 1.

Waldo County Sheriff's Deputy Jordan Tozier responded to the crash, which occurred at 11:40 a.m., on Waldo Station Road after 47-year-old Deborah Roche's 2002 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle lost traction while cresting a hill, the accident report stated.

Roche lost control of the vehicle and struck a snowbank, which caused the SUV to flip onto its roof. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage to the front passenger quarter panel, according to the accident report.

Roche suffered broken bones as a result of the crash. The accident report indicated she was traveling too fast for the conditions at the time of the crash and that the road was ice and snow covered.

Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton said Roche was taken by ambulance to Waldo County General Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
