BCTV-2 offers a new program filmed at Bryant Stove and Music in Thorndike, where Joe Bryant has created a "doll circus."

Belfast — BCTV-2 will air a program dedicated to the “doll circus” of Thorndike as part of its “Somewhere in Waldo County” series.

In a back room at Bryant Stove and Music in Thorndike, Joe Bryant has created a world of his own. His wife Bea is a collector and among her numerous collections are hundreds of dolls. Joe decided to breath a little life into those dolls by creating a magical room where toys come to life with the flip of a switch.

Joe Bryant, a tinkerer, inventor, master of animation and just an amazingly imaginative and creative man, uses everyday objects such as old bicycle parts to animate toys of all kinds to make a world come alive where children of all ages can come and enjoy.

“I just to make smiles,” he said.

Ned Lightner takes a tour of this amazing place and interviews Bryant on “Somewhere in Waldo County,” shown on BCTV-2 Thursday nights at 8 p.m. and various times that can be found in the program listings at belfastcommunitytv.org.
