Doolan experiences successful bear hunter
Morrill — Lynne Doolan, 40, of Morrill recently experienced a successful bear hunt in Northern Maine. Doolan also was successful in shooting a turkey during that season. The deputy treasurer for Belfast, Doolan tagged the 170-pound bear Aug. 31 in Madawaska. "It was a long week, sitting perfectly still, and being eaten alive by the biggest mosquitoes in Maine. The people in Madawaska were so friendly and helpful. It was like everyone had a part in my hunt ... definitely will be going back next year." Doolan tagged her 19-pound turkey in Morrill in the spring. She said she also completed her archery class this summer at the Outdoors Sportsmen in Northport. "My boyfriend Dana Roberts has encouraged me every step of the way and has taken a lot of time to ensure these awesome moments. I will say there is nothing like spending time outside, meeting new people, and enjoying the wildlife," Doolan said.
