Drug Take-back Day
|Oct 26, 2013|
|10:00 AM - 2:00 PM|
On Saturday, Oct. 26, local and State Police, along with sheriff offices across Maine will again take part in the national “drug take-back” effort, aimed at giving Maine households a safe place to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs. More than 160 collection points have been set up for residents to drop off the drugs, which will then be safely disposed of. The take-back effort takes place Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
A complete list of the collection points is on the federal DEA web site. Locations include the Waldo County Sheriff's office at 45 Congress Street, the Belfast Police Department at 112 Church Street, and the Searsport Police Department in the Dan Rich Public Safety Building on Union Street in Searsport.
