Enroll Now in Healthcare Training

ROCKLAND - Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education is accepting applications for two upcoming healthcare courses that certify you to work in healthcare facilities or assisted living settings. A 200 hour CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) course begins November 1st.  Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday for 9 weeks.  CNAs are in demand and graduates have choices for employment in long term care, assisted living, home care, and hospitals.  Deadline to submit applications has been extended to October 26th.

A 6 week daytime PSS (Personal Support Specialist)  course begins November 7th. This 50-hour Personal Support Specialist course is held Mondays and teaches how to provide personal care, report and document client status, communicate effectively, respond to emergency situations, and understand consumer rights issues for the aging.  Call 596-7752 x3 for an application.  Applicants must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalency.
