FAB Beatles book event with Penelope Rowlands @ MCBS
Author of The Beatles Are Here! Fifty Years After the Band Arrived in America, Writers, Musicians, and Other Fans Remember, Penelope Rowlands, shares her own adolescent Beatlemania which began in 1964 at Shea Stadium (she is pictured on the cover, screaming) and those of many, many others at the Maine Coast Bookshop this Saturday Sept. 6th from 1-3pm. Rowlands gets to the heart of why, half a century later, the Beatles, an unforgettable cultural touchstone, still matter to us so deeply.
