Swanville — Nick Sprague of Swanville and his nine-year-old daughter, Nina, returned home with an eight-point buck after a hunting excursion on Monday, Nov. 11, but the trip also inspired the girl to commemorate the outing in writing.

After the father-daughter duo came home from the successful hunt, which Nick said began at 5 a.m., Nina and her younger sister, Naomi, combined their talents and wrote the following ditty just for the occasion:

Orange and my camouflage

By Nina and Naomi Sprague

Nina: A few weeks ago, my daddy took me out hunting.

Naomi: I missed her, but I know in a few years I'll be going with her.

Nina: We didn't see a 10-pointer, but it was the time of my life,

'Cause I was in orange and my camouflage,

Don't want to be no doctor, just wanna hunt,

Yeah, just wanna hunt.
