Irving Faunce has been appointed administrator of Harbor Hill Center in Belfast, according to an announcement by Genesis Healthcare.

An experienced healthcare leader, Faunce has previously served as executive director at RiverRidge, the Brain Injury Center for Maine and at Kennebunk Nursing and Rehab. Over the past three years, he has been administrator of Penobscot Nursing Home and Residential Living Center.

“Irving will bring strong management skills to Harbor Hill,” said Valerie Coleman, regional vice president for Genesis. “In addition, he has been active in the communities he has served and I am sure that will continue in Belfast.”

In addition to his professional experience, Faunce has served in public policy positions at the local and state level. He served on the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Board of Environmental Protection and the state Board of Corrections. In addition he has served as mayor of Gardiner and a school board member there, and as a selectman in Wilton.

“Harbor Hill has a strong record of service to residents and their families for many years,” Faunce said, “and we are prepared to maintain a high level of care for our residents and stable employment for a dedicated work force.”

Harbor Hill provides assisted living, long-term care and skilled rehab.
