Fourth suspect in Unity home invasion arrested
Unity — Police apprehended the fourth suspect Sunday afternoon wanted in connection with a Unity home invasion.
Danny Green, 27, of the Waterville area was arrested at the home of a friend in Winslow, according to a press release from state police spokesman Stephen McCausland. Green was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Waldo County Jail, according to police.
He was charged with burglary and robbery, McCausland stated.
Maine State Police troopers responded to a report of a home invasion on Wanning Road in Unity Tuesday, March 5. Three men reportedly forced their way into the home of a 72-year-old woman who was asleep at the time, according to a press release from McCausland.
The men, dressed in dark clothing, demanded drugs and money from the woman. The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone, according to the press release.
Before allegedly robbing the woman, the three men purchased gloves, bandanas and zip ties.
The woman was not injured during the robbery.
Police charged Paige Lanctot, 19, of Skowhegan with criminal conspiracy; Alexander Salvas, 18, of Skowhegan with burglary and robbery; and Bryan Gower, 22, of Waterville with burglary and robbery.
Lanctot is free on $1,000 bail and Salvas and Gower are being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
Police arrested Lanctot and Salvas Tuesday, March 5, in Skowhegan and Gower was arrested in Waterville Friday, March 8, according to police.
Troopers Bethany Robinson and Elisha Fowlie are the lead investigators in the case.
